Waikato Rapid Carriers
Hi
We're thrilled at the opportunity to assist you with your junk removal, delivery, or move. Here are some common questions along with our answers:
Q&A
Do you offer insurance?
While our prices don’t include insurance, we can arrange it for you. Our maximum 'carriers' liability' is $2000 per job under "limited carriers' risk." We recommend checking with your own insurance provider as you might already be covered. Alternatively, we can set up temporary insurance through our provider for an additional cost, which will be added to your final quote.
When will my movers arrive?
For local bookings, we typically offer morning (9-11 am) or afternoon (1-3 pm) time slots for same-day pick-up and delivery.
How long will my delivery take?
Delivery times vary based on the destination. For metro areas, it's usually the same day. Regional areas (within 3 hours' driving distance) are usually delivered overnight. For inter-island relocations, it can take 4-7 days depending on ferry scheduling. Please note that larger house moves have priority, which may sometimes result in smaller jobs being delayed due to capacity constraints if the volume is misreported.
Does my quote include packing and wrapping items?
No, we only take items as they are presented. While we use blankets to protect items, we recommend wrapping anything that could be marked or scratched. If you'd like us to pack for you, there's an additional charge: For up to a 10 cubic load with two movers, we charge $70 + GST for packing service, including material costs.
I think I have more items than I originally listed. Will this affect my quote?
If you realize you have more items than originally estimated, please contact us immediately, preferably before the job starts. We want to ensure we have enough space to complete your job properly. If your volume exceeds the original estimate, we'll adjust your invoice accordingly.
I've booked a quote to transport a boat trailer. How does this work?
Please note all boats are towed behind a 3.2-tonne tow capacity late model utility vehicle or furniture truck. If the customer's trailer is towable and can be used to tow a boat, it must be roadworthy, legal, and fit for transport. They must be insured or have arrangements for us to organize insurance for you. We won't tow an uninsured boat and trailer, and our standard terms state our maximum liability is $2000 per job.
I have booked a car for transport. How does this work?
We have one car transporter-trailer that delivers cars while delivering furniture. The vehicles we carry must be able to be driven for loading and unloading purposes. Our maximum liability of $2000 per customer vehicle applies, and we are happy to arrange insurance for you if required.
How do I pay for this? Do I need to pay a deposit?
We only require a 50 percent deposit on any job valued at more than $2000 with the balance to be settled before completion of the job, this is non-refundable, with the only exception being if we are unable to complete the job. Payments can be made in cash or via internet direct banking. Upon accepting our quote, we will then send you our invoice with payment instructions.
'Do you do WINZ quotes?
Yes, we are registered with WINZ as a supplier more than happy to provide this for you.
Rest assured, we aim to make this process as easy and stress-free as possible to ensure the job gets done safely and on time.
