They tried to charge us extra than quoted even though the truck was not completely full to the 32cubes they were trying to charge us for. To do so would have meant that the load was right up to the ceiling which it was not. They tried to charge us almost $500 more then said ti was a typo when we challenged the price. they bought it down to $300 more than the quote and we challenged that again with photographic evidence of how full the truck was. We then had an email from Wise Move asking us if we had cancelled our shift with Ecoshifter. We confirmed that we had not and they had moved us. If is was cynical I would say Ecoshifter was trying to get out of paying for the commission by saying that the shift had been cancelled by us so that they could keep all of the money. All in all, a very unsatisfactory experience.
Response from Ecoshifter - Matai
Thank you for your feedback. We always aim to provide clear communication and fair pricing, and we regret that you had concerns about your recent move.
When we initially quoted the job, we estimated the volume based on the information provided (22 cubic meters). However, upon arriving, we found that the volume of your items was closer to 32 cubic meters, requiring additional time, labor, and resources to complete the job. We did offer to adjust the price accordingly, which you agreed to, understanding the extra effort involved.
After the move, unfortunately, the additional payment was not made, and instead, we received this review. We understand that the change in price was unexpected, and we did our best to resolve the situation amicably.
Regarding the Wise Move platform, we want to clarify that the cancellation mentioned was a misunderstanding. It was not intentional, and we apologize for any confusion caused. Our goal has always been to complete the job to your satisfaction and uphold the professionalism we strive for.
We appreciate your business and hope you understand the complexities of managing an accurate estimate when the scope of work changes. If there is anything else you’d like to discuss, please don’t hesitate to reach out directly.
