The walk is relatively easy and takes about 20 minutes, but the views are worth it.


Castlepoint (2hr 43min from Wellington)

Whanganui is often overlooked for other towns more marketed to tourists. However, you won’t regret a weekend spent in Whanganui. It’s one of the oldest towns in New Zealand. Built on a river and surrounded by lush greenery, there’s plenty to see and do.
