Pathway Transport

Pathway did a great job with the move. Professional and polite they took great care of all items and even collected additional furniture from our lockup. Unfortunately some damage was done to the driveway paving upon first arrival due to the truck driving over the edge and breaking the asphalt. The truck also caught and partly tipped over the letterbox on the way out. However, they took responsibility for the accident and reimbursed me for the repairs. I would have given 5 stars if it had not been for this, which did take some time on my part to sort out.

Be prepared to haggle if you have one or two extra items as they might try to increase the charge by a further 50%.

We were quoted $295 to move a three-bedroom house worth of furniture. At the last minute, our new tenants advised that they didn’t need whitewear and so we also needed a mid-size fridge and small washing machine moved.

They tried to charge us an extra $150 for these two items but we negotiated down to $100. Not impressed with them leveraging the situation to try to charge an additional 50% of the original quote.

The movers were also quite rude and unprofessional.

Best price from 4 quotes by far. Excellent service. The truck arrived at the arranged time and the two man team carefully loaded the furniture. At the new house, all furniture was put exactly where I asked for it to go. No problems at all.

Unfortunately Pathway Transport did not supply the service which they quoted and took more money than they quoted from my partner even after requiring him to complete the job.

- difficult to negotiate a time for job to be done with Pathways Transport
- didn't follow written directions to pick up location and expected these to be repeated over the phone while he searched which interrupted me while I was presenting at work
- did not bring two people to offload despite this being the quoted service. My partner assisted and hurt his back so as to avoid leaving delivery in another business' foyer while job was rescheduled
- tried to avoid delivering to the correct floor despite this being the quoted service
- took $170 when the amount agreed was $160 and my partner had provided cash as requested

Was generally good, but the piano stool got left in the truck and the piano was bounced down the stairs which is not usual for a piano.
