Relocated with NZ Home Movers LTD (JTL) from Blenheim to Auckland because they gave us a competitive quote and were flexible with my delivery date. Their communication was good and they were very punctual with their arrival times to each property. They assisted with the process which was a massive help to us and greatly appreciated.
The only drama was the care of our good and the lack of professionalism. A fair amount of our furniture has scratches on them from move and they double booked us so had to share a truck with someone else’s belongings. We were under the impression that we had booked the whole truck so this was a bit of a surprise when they arrived. If we had known that from the start it would have been easier to plan for a larger truck. As a result our goods didn’t all fit so we had to give away a fair amount of our goods for free.
IYKYK. Lesson learned.

I was very clear from day one and you had asked to book 16 cubic space.
Bluebridge canceled 3 sailings due to bad weather this week. Our 16 cubic was stuck in wellington and couldn't sail on time for this move. But I sent a unit from chc and had called the customer 2 days before too to ask his opinion and he chose the bigger truck I.e 19 cubic and wasn't worried it has a bed.
Do note we never charged him any extra from 16 to 19 cubics. And he himself had booked and we quoted for 16 cubics.
On move day we sent a 22 cubic truck and it had a bed for another customer from wise move booking
Thus we had allocated him 19 cubics instead of 16.
We took all of their furniture and not aware he left anything behind.
He also had booked customer loading unloading option. But we were 2 on the truck and helped him move all his furniture.
At delivery end, this is where the drama started. The apartment he was moving to had no lift and he had 5 storey building and was on the 5th floor.
My boys still helped take out all the furniture and take to level 3 for them . Turns out he didn't want to pay for extra man to turn up - which we offered him on the day and insisted us to help as he didn't have anyone from his end turn up on the day.
My boys still helped and didn't charge him any extra money. We tried to keep our professional approach and still smiled and did the job
We were told of any thing about furniture scratches till he reviewd us. Even nothing on wise messages till now
