Terms and Conditions of Agreement for Carriage

1. In this agreement, the following terms are defined as;
CONTRACTING PARTY in this agreement means the person who has requested the Carrier or Forwarder is to carry goods and has the legal authority to do so.
CARRIER means Man with a Van Christchurch as the carrier whether by contract by a forwarder or as a sole agent to the owner.
OWNER means the party that has the legal ownership of the goods being carried under this agreement, who may or may not be a direct party to this agreement.
2. LIABILITY OF FORWARDER (such term to include, unless the context otherwise requires in these conditions, the holding company and its subsidiaries its servants’ agents’ sub-contractors and actual carriers)
(a) The services contracted under this agreement shall be undertaken “at limited carrier’s risk” (pursuant to the Contract and Commercial Law Act 2017) hereinafter referred to as “the Act
( B)please note our prices do not include insurance cover as we strictly cart at "owners risk". Please discuss with your home and contents insurer if your policy includes goods in transit.
Failure to have home and contents insurance is strongly discouraged.
Man with a Van Christchurch maximum liability in all circumstances is $500 or clients insurance excess, whichever is lesser.

As a matter of principle I never give 5 stars. That said everything went smoothly, the movers certainly know their job. They were friendly yet professional. I'd certainly recommend them.

Man with a van were fantastic - on time, professional, helpful, friendly and went the xtra mile - literally when a second run was needed the 1km move we made.
They took utmost care with our stuff and were patient dismantling our bed frame

Knocked wall with piano, leaving a permanent mark in new house.
I advised business owner and he offered the service for free, but piano was moved, so I chose to pay a discounted rate ($70 instead of $100).
He also offered to assist with re-painting wall, which I appreciated but I chose not to take advantage of this.

I couldn't have done anything differently to sort this for you.My worker was genuinely shocked when the piano brushed the wall while getting it off the dolly.
We pride ourselves on giving our customers the best possible service.
The mark is not permanent and we would have sorted it while at the customer's house, but Laura decided to do it herself.
