When it comes to relocating goods, Hamilton Movers is always here to serve with its best moving services. We also offer moving services for areas outside of Waikato, Auckland, and throughout New Zealand.

We have weekly deliveries for Trade Me purchases throughout the North Island, and fortnightly deliveries to anywhere in New Zealand.

We have trucks in various sizes, ranging from 8 cubic meters to 85 cubic meters, to accommodate any size of load, from a single item to a 5-bedroom house.

Terms & Conditions:

Our minimum charge is 1 hour, with subsequent charges billed in 30-minute increments. We accept payment via cash, EFTPOS, or internet banking on trucks. Please note that there is a 3% surcharge for all credit card payments.

It is the customer's responsibility to ensure safe and secure access (driveway, pathway, parking, etc.) to the property. An additional charge of $60.00 per item will apply for any extra-heavy or oversize items, such as pool tables or pianos. Customers must inform us in advance if they have any items of this nature. Conditions apply

Customers must also inform us of any bridges on the way to the property and any weight restrictions on those bridges at the time of booking. If the access is difficult, we may need to use trailers or an extra moving team, incurring additional costs that the customer must cover.

If you cancel your booking within 7 days for hourly price jobs, you will incur a minimum fee of 3 hours. For fixed price jobs, the full amount will be forfeited. If you cancel within 14 days of your booking, half of the above-mentioned fees will be forfeited. Full payment is required upon completion or before, depending on the conditions outlined above. Failure to pay on time will result in a late fee of $100.00 + GST, with additional charges of $500.00 every 24 hours.

Any accounts in default will be referred to third-party debt collectors, and the defaulter will be responsible for all associated costs.

Unless specified, all prices quoted are exclusive of GST and are for 2 men and a truck. All goods are carried at the owner's risk, so please ensure that you have insurance organized. You must organize your own insurance.

The company does not take liability for any broken glass or non-functioning electrical appliances after transit, unless they were factory-packed.

If a second vehicle is used in a small truck or trailer due to limited capacity or weight restrictions on a bridge, the hourly rate will apply, and all additional costs will be charged to the customer, regardless of it being a fixed price or hourly job.

If the service is delayed due to unforeseen circumstances, the company reserves the right to delay the customer's booking by up to 2 hours without waiving any fees. If the delay is longer than 2 hours, the customer will be notified, and an agreement will be reached at the company's discretion.

Any misconduct or unacceptable behavior towards our staff members may result in the termination of the customer's booking at the company's discretion.

Refunds, if applicable, will only be issued to the same bank account from which the payment originated.

I found communication quite hard with this moving company. I had flexible pick up for a span of the week so I understand that pickup could have been any of the days but I had to reach out to find the actual day they were coming to make sure I was home. It felt like if I did not email beforehand I would have just got a call 15 minutes before they arrived without prior warning which would not have worked out if I was at work for the day already.

For the delivery I knew it would arrive 5-7 working days after pickup but on the night before they delivered they texted me close to 8pm that they could either deliver my bed at 10pm or 6:30am the next day which are both ridiculous times to offer. I asked for the morning but they said that they will do that evening instead. However at 9pm I got a message saying that the ferry was delayed and they will drop it off in the morning (I respect that the ferry delay was out of their control). The next day at 6:40am I texted asking where they were and they replied 10-15 minutes away. After an hour had passed I messaged again to no response. It wasn’t until my flatmate noticed people in hi-vis with boxes outside that we found out they arrived. This was almost and hour and a half after they said they would be there.

Everything was delivered ok in the end but due to their lack of communication I would not recommend.

However they did wrap the goods to protect them until I could get home.

Lack of communication let them down. I knew my stuff would be a backload, but finding out exactly when it would arrive took a few days. English as a second language was their biggest problem I suspect, eg. them not knowing what an ETA is. And I didn't expect my antique chairs to not be covered on the back of the ute (the cushions weren't, they were in the cab). I'd use them again though, knowing what I know now.

Thank you for your feedback. Yes its backload and being Whitianga delivery its not a weekly load. Few of our drivers have English as second language but can communicate. However that doesn’t affect the timeframe of loads , pickup or delivery because that is what dispatch team and sales team decides, our sales team is always available to help. Have a good day

Communication was terrible, it worked out in the end but I was left thinking the company was a scam, I thought WiseMove would be the communicators, but just the introducers, so left with limited communication with a House Moving Company that are not geared up for communications efficiently (no tracking etc).
Price seemed fair though, and the guys that actually delivered the parcel were Professional and courteous, and also called 15mins before the actually delivery.
IF the communication was better, I would recommend, but I had to keep calling to find out what was happening (when they would pick up, when they would deliver etc).

You are reviewing us the moving company. We have done pickup and delivery with communication about date and everything.

Your pickup was scheduled for a time and day however your pickup person didn’t pickup any calls we still went but no one was home
Without any additional charge we did your pickup again.
But cannot see anything about that in review.

We don’t provide tracking numbers as we are not a courier company. Never did we say we will provide a tracking number. You were calling to check for updates for your piece of mind that is why we have toll free number.
Also communication can be said as bad if we don’t advise you however we did.

When you accepted our quote you can clearly see we are furniture moving company. We work very professionally so we would request an honest review instead.
We delivered in 2-3 working days that too interisland and within almost a week of your booking.

The men who moved my belongings were friendly, helpful, willing and they worked tirelessly. I was frustrated by the forms for signing - there were changes needed to the original list of goods, (my, fault as I totally underestimated, quantities and so on) and the woman I spoke with on the phone was very patient and pleasant but when asked to sign off on the changed list I was repeatedly sent the original list. I was disappointed that the night before pick up times had been changed to the afternoon. This was a problem because based on previous assurances I had carpet cleaners due at 1.30pm. I phoned to discuss at least 3 times, nobody answered nor returned my call. Emails were sent and finally a revised time was offered, between 11- 12am. - the truck arrived after 1pm, and pickup was completed around 3.30pm. Pretty stressful for drivers, cleaners and me.
I stress, however the men shifting were great loading and unloading.

Delivery of car from North Is to South. Sadly there was not much communication in regards to the car delivery. I only knew the car was picked up from delivery address from the person at property. I had to ring and message movers to find out that it had been picked up on the Wednesday night as the transaction was put as high because I really needed the vehicle so could possibly expect it on Monday. I called again on the Friday and got through in the afternoon and was able to confirm if my deposit had been received, was also told would receive a call between 5-8pm that night in regards to the delivery/ferry crossing. Never received a call. Rang Monday morning and was told would be delivered Wednesday due to delays- which I understood as it was terrible weather that weekend. Got a text Tuesday at 9pm saying delivery between 12-2pm. Got the call Wednesday in regards to delivery address I had provided. It was a large car park so plenty of room to off load. The car was unloaded 2 blocks over in a small car park behind the 4 square which is abit tight and pokey. I walked over and met the truck driver and picked it up from there.
The people I spoke to were lovely and I am grateful for the service that they provided. I just feel that a little more effort into communication even in the form of a text message could go a long way in keeping clients informed especially when the weekend is approaching and arrangements have to be made to get to the delivery address etc. Thank you.
