It was confirmed on a minimum of three occasions that the pick up time was scheduled for 10am. On the scheduled moving day Galilee Freight arrived at 10:40am. We were informed shortly before 10am that the arrival time would be 10:40am.
After booking Galilee, Yakov shared the potential for increasing the quote if it took longer than anticipated. He claimed this was to prevent being taken advantage of by clients. While this is a fair concern, the potential for additional expenses should be discussed/addressed prior to booking. Clients seek honesty and transparency as well.
Lastly, the two moving guys were very professional and good workers. One item was damaged during transport and they were honest and upfront about it. They suggested Yakov could sort out compensation. We were also charged a lower fee upon delivery. Upon discussing this with Yakov, he claimed transport is at owner's risk and demanded full pay via text causing confusion and contradicting information between his workers and himself.
After paying the remaining invoice and upholding our end of the agreement, Yakov reluctantly reimbursed us for the requested amount after claiming policies that are not listed on their company page.
While the workers were transparent, Yakov does not appear to be so we will not use their services in the future.
