Booked weeks in advance, Brandon confirmed booking. Promptly called me at 7am the next day to arrange particulars. All seemed fine!
On the day of move, Brandon messaged me in the morning saying that it's impractical to move me as he'll not be in my area around the time. He didn't want to make a return trip to the area. Asked me if i could do hours earlier, which I couldn't commit to - Maybe if he had reached out earlier I could have accommodated this. Proceeded to tell me how diesel is expensive and his boys wanted to have a beer, since it was friday.
He keep texting about how the "boys" didn't think the fixed price he quoted was high enough... I reluctantly agreed to a 25% higher price as i didn't want the added stress of finding a new mover on the same day of my move. I thought this had finally been settled and i could continue with my work day.
But he kept trying to change the time to make it more convenient for other bookings he had that day, flaked on the confirmation even after we had agreed to a higher price. Eventually i had enough, i didn't trust the guy with my booking, my belongings or even to do what he said he would do. I went with a new mover and paid double the price for the peace of mind. New guy was fantastic, really put into perspective how inconsiderate Brandon was.
After i sent messages to Brandon to cancel, it didn't end there. Guy continued to insistently call me and send messages saying we could still make it work.
Horrendous experience with BT Carriers, if you stumble across this review you're lucky! Feel sorry for anyone that will engage them in the future.
Reply from BT Carriers
I want to share my experience with Zac as a director at BT Carriers, which was quite challenging. He was inflexible and unwilling to accommodate our schedules when we were around the area, particularly around lunchtime, and he was not open to earlier times either. I advise anyone considering working with Zac to be cautious about how you approach things with him. As a director of BT Carriers, we ensure that our clients are satisfied with our services. However, dealing with someone like Zac, who dislikes our operational methods, adds complexity. Our job as furniture removalists is already demanding, and his insistence on us working around his schedule, coupled with the need to travel from Flat Bush to Henderson while managing traffic, complicated the situation further. Moreover, my team was already in the area around lunchtime and had finished early on Friday.
